Let’s Make it!

Make heart cut-outs in small, medium and large sizes, with the small size in white stock and the medium and large sizes in colored and patterned stock.  To make it easy, I like to use my Brother Scan n Cut to cut the hearts, or you can draw the hearts freehand and cut them out yourself.

On the small, white hearts, print or write loving sentiments on the white paper and cut around the notes.  Use one-or two-word sentiments like you would see on the conversation candy hearts we all know and love. Here are some of my favs:

Love You – You’re Mine – Kisses – Love – Hugs – Be Mine – My Love – Happy

Glue a sentiment heart on top of a medium heart, and then glue the medium heart on top of a large heart. Layer each evenly to create a border effect. Repeat these steps on the reverse of the big heart so that it is double-sided with a sentiment on both sides.

Punch a hole in the top and bottom of each big heart and connect them with twine.  Make several strings with hearts at various lengths to create the hanging chandelier effect.

Now, hang the heart strings from the ceiling or an existing light fixture create a cascading mobile effect.

There you have it, LOVE is in the air with these hanging hearts!

This easy DIY idea makes for the perfect addition to hang over your kitchen table, eating area, or even in front of your bathroom mirror so you can remind everyone in your home how much they are loved.

Happy Valentine’s Day! Happy Everyday!
