The concept originated from a 2012 episode of Disney’s “Gravity Falls,” in which the characters love Halloween so much that they celebrate it twice, once in June and on the actual date in October. It has become so popular that a new term, “Code Orange,” has been coined and is going viral on social media, signaling the release of new Halloween merchandise.

Some people want summer to be summer, but if you want to combine a little spook to your summer season, we’ve rounded up the best tips and tricks for your Summerween party!

No Pumpkins this time of year… don’t worry!

1-Swap out the pumpkins for other fruits 

Get creative with your food carving options! Experts recommend eating foods that are fresh and in season, so why not put some of those fruits on your carving table? Watermelon is at its peak season from June to August, while pineapple is at its sweetest from March through July. Valencia oranges are in season all summer and make the perfect mini jack-o’-lanterns!
