Kick start 2024 with some HEALTHY New Year habits!
What is your New Year’s Resolution? Jane always says, forget having just one idea and start living with lots of happy HEALTHY new year habits! It’s easy to do when you break down the word HEALTHY into what it really means. Take in these simple suggestions for a healthier new year!
H = Help others!
Whether its opening a door for someone, help to carry a heavy bag, volunteer for your favorite charity or even a simple smile as you pass by a stranger, by helping others you will feel mentally fulfilled. Mental fulfillment relieves stress and makes you feel good all over.
E = Exercise!
If you don’t exercise at all, get up and get moving! Walk 20 minutes a day…Take the stairs…Hire a trainer… just motivate to move! It will make a difference. If you are someone who already workout then ramp it up! Pretend like you are training for the Olympics or a photo shoot…whatever your motivation is, exercise smarter!
A = An Apple a Day keeps the doctor away!
So eat right. Nutrition is key to living a healthy life. Incorporate protein and fiber into your diet, eat good fat, complex carbs are your friends, hit the produce section of the grocery store and drink lots of water!
L = Love someone.
Love releases endorphins in the body those tiny little feel good vibes that make us happy. Happy equals healthy. If you don’t find your soul mate then love a pet, love a friend, love a family member or love your life’s partner. Anyway you slice it, love in your heart will always win even during the toughest times!
T = Take a dose of P.M.A. everyday!
PMA is a Positive Mental Attitude and it makes the world go round. I’ve lived by this my entire life. So remember, a positive mental attitude is contagious so put a smile on your face and look at the bright side.
H = Healthy is as healthy does.
Lead by example because if you’re living a healthy lifestyle others will follow. It’s just that simple, so be a role model by living a healthy life and your friends, family, neighbors, colleagues and even social media followers will jump on the healthy living bandwagon. See, you are already making a difference in 2024.
Y = YOU are #1 so be sure to make time for yourself.
Balance is the key to living a healthy life. Create a balance with your life, with work, with family, with friends, and with personal time. Relieve stress, meditate, get enough sleep, relax, play, and enjoy where you are right now because that is exactly where you are supposed to be!
