1- You don’t need to buy new to wear new. A small tweak, a new silhouette, or a creative detail can make an old piece feel brand new.

2- Anyone can do it!  You can sew it, you can pin it, you can glue it and if you don’t want to do any of that, call a crafty friend to help!

3- Thrift with a Plan. Raid your closet, garage sales, yard sales, and thrift stores, but focus on fabric and print rather than the label. That’s where the real creative potential lives.

4- Start by reinventing classic pieces like button-up shirts, denim, dresses and tee shirts.

7- Save your scraps. Today’s leftovers can become tomorrow’s project, from home décor to accessories. Bonus points if you can use every last piece and extend the life of the entire garment.
