Take some time for Personal Growth
While we are all staying at home a bit more this last year, it’s a good time for self-reflection and create personal growth in your life! Som while this last year was difficult, don’t put your life on hold and wait for things to get better. Now is the time to put forward momentum into the future and I’ve got a few ideas to help you get started.
Jot it down
First, take a minute to brainstorm new opportunities for your life and career. Whether you are currently working full time, part time or among the masses looking for a new job, take some time to write down all your hopes and dreams and think about what you really want to do. How can you over deliver to your company, your clients and yourself… and actually enjoy doing it!

Create a WOTY
It’s never too late to create a Word Of The Year… pick a word that acts as your compass. It can be any word that motivates you, helps you make decisions, encourages you, and gets you fired up. Over the last few years my words have been, action, reach, focus, and this year’s word is HEART. Your word can be any word that works for you. Make the decision to live big this year?

Learn Something
Another way to create personal growth is to learn something new! Why not set up a videoconference with the master to learn a secret family recipe, like how to make world class beef stew with grandma! Or take an online course. You can learn how to speak a different language, or sew a garment, or play an instrument, the ideas are endless! Even get your partner involved and take virtual dance lessons, or exercise together. Wake up 30 minutes early and meditate. Now that’s a great way to distress!
Get it done
Take some time to do the things you always put off doing, like cleaning out the pantry! Go thru your closets and donate the clothes that you know you’ll never wear. And once you get all that done, dust the floorboards and tops of cabinets. Remember, you have to a mess before it’s cleaned up but you will feel such a great sense of accomplishment when it’s complete!
So just go for it! Stay positive and enjoy the journey!
