Make your own pom pom gift topper for the perfectly wrapped present!
Give your gift wrapping an extra special pop with a touch of handmade and this pom pom gift topper. It’s easy when you grab your scissors and some yarn to create a fun pop pop gift topper. It only take a few minutes so grab some of your favorite color yarn and sit down for a true craft sesh! If you’re ready, let’s make it!
Old piece of cardboard
Start by cutting a scrap piece of cardboard into a 5 inch by 2 inch rectangle.
Secure one end of the yarn with your thumb and start wrapping the yarn around the cardboard. Wrap an ample amount of yard so you get a fuller pom pom.
Once the wrapping is completed, carefully slide the yarn off the cardboard.
Cut a 10 inch piece of yarn and wrap it around the center of the yarn a few times and then tie it in a knot. You can do this again to ensure the knot is secure and the yarn is wrapped tight.
Pulling the yarn loops forward in one hand, cut the loops with your craft scissors.
Next, give the yarn pieces a haircut to make them all the same length and create a perfect pom pom gift topper!
To finish, cut a circle from the cardstock and glue it to the bottom of the pom pom.
Add a custom felt gift tag or any gift tag you want. Then using a small piece of tape on the bottom of the pom pom and put it on top of your wrapped package!
And there you have it, a super festive pom pom gift topper to add a special touch to your wrapping!
