Set the tone of any table with a mason jar floral centerpiece.
An easy way to add more flowers to your home is with this mason jar floral display. Simply paint a mason jar, glue on a foam ball and insert the stems. This clever design will give a pop of color to brighten up any room. So let’s make it!
Supplies:
- Mason jar
- Acrylic paint
- Paint brush
- Styrofoam ball
- Tacky Glue
- Faux flowers & leaves
- Wire cutters

Make it:
Make sure your mason jar is clean and dry. I have tons of mason jars in my kitchens stash that were used for canning or simple vases. You can also recycle an old glass jar to use for this project.
Paint the glass any color you like, I am using white. If you are going for a monochromatic look you can paint the jar the same color as the flowers you are using. Or for a eclectic look, paint the jars various colors and use a variety of different types and colors of faux flowers.
After the jar is dry, place the styrofoam ball on the opening of the jar and trace around the lip to create a grove in the styrofoam. This will allow the styrofoam to snuggly fit on top of the jar.
Add some tacky glue to the opening lip of the mason jar.
Place the grove you created on the styrofoam ball onto the opening of the jar. Let that set and dry.
While the glue is setting, cut the faux flower stems so about 1″-2″ are left. This will allow you to insert the flowers right into the styrofoam.
Starting at the top and working your way down, insert the flowers into the styrofoam to cover completely.
You can add leaves at the bottom or in the mix if you like the look!
And there you have it, an easy to make, DIY mason jar floral centerpiece!
