These DIY Friendship bracelets are easy to make plus they make a cool fashion statement.
Have you ever wondered how to make friendship bracelets? There are so many great things about summer vacation like summer camp, spending time with old friends…and making new ones!
The newest trend in friendship crafts; bracelets. Fun and easy with a little bit of sparkle. No need to spend hours and hours weaving thin string together to make the old friendship bracelets. You can cut fabric scraps into strips, glue on some gems and fringe the ends…. Tie one or more on to show your loyalty!
Show your friends how much you care, try this new twist on an old favorite and the latest friendship craft. It’s easy, inexpensive and eco-friendly because you get to repurpose an old t-shirt plus adding a few sparkles always makes people happy!
First, cut strips of the t-shirt material about 12″ long and about a ½” wide.
Next, glue gems in the center of the fabric band. A little dab of glue will do the trick. I like to use Beacon Gem-Tac as my rhinestone to fabric adhesive. Use different color gems to create an interesting design or use the same color for a sophisticated look.
Using your rotary cutter or scissors, cut fringes about 1.5″ into both ends of the band.
Tie one or several around your best friend’s wrist!
There you have it, an updated version of a friendship bracelet. This simple and easy friendship craft is quick and easy to do. You can make lots of them at one afternoon craft sesh and make one for every person in class (and maybe even your brother)!!
Final thought: These up-crafted friendship bracelets make a great class project, team building exercise, or DIY party favor, plus everyone loves wearing them! Bling up your wrist with a fun friendship craft.
