Print and cut out these hearts. The loving sentiments will add all that you need to say to your hanging heart chandelier.   You can also create your own sentiments using one-or two-words like you would see on the conversation candy hearts.  Here are some of my favs:

Love You – You’re Mine – Kisses – Love – Hugs – Be Mine – My Love – Happy Valentine’s Day

Cut a piece of bakers twine the appropriate length to fit the space from the light fixture down to the table or countertop.  Cut multiple pieces of twine to create several strands of hearts at varied lengths so the finished chandelier has long and shorter pieces.

The basic concept is to create a sandwich of paper hearts on top of the twine. First by gluing the twine to a large heart, then a another large heart on top, followed by gluing a medium heart on top and finally a sentiment on top.

You will want to place each heart evenly on top of one another to create a border effect. Repeat these steps to make several layered heart piece.

To assemble, place a large heart right side down and dab a line of glue down the center of the heart and lay the twine lengthwise own the center.  Add some glue to the outer edges of the heart and place another large heart on top, sandwiching twine in the middle.  Repeat this process all the way down the piece of twine leaving a few inches in between the hearts.

TOP TIP:  Leave extra twine at the top so you can create a loop to hang it or tie it to the existing light fixture.

And finish the bottom with a heart so no twine is showing.

Alternatively, you can punch the top and bottoms of each heart with a hole punch and tie them together with the twine.

Finish each piece of twine with a layered heart piece at the end.  Check the strand of hearts for any big gaps and finish by adding any extra hearts on the twine to fill.
