Celebrate your Graduate with these Graduation Year Table Toppers
Give your grad party a little personality with these graduation year table toppers! We all know students take a lot of photos these days, so grab a few from the four years gone by to make this festive decor. The process is simple, just print, cut and glue and your picture perfect decoration can speak for itself. So let’s make it!
SUPPLIES:
- laser printed color photos of the graduate
- large paper mache numbers
- Mod Podge glue
- Mod Podge spray acrylic
- paper scissors
MAKE IT:
First, print the photos in small, varying sizes and cut them out. Choose key photos to use as focal points on each number and use the others as filler.
Lay the focal point photos on each number to get an idea of design. As you start gluing the photos on, this may change slightly but it’s helpful to know what key photos you want for each number.
Start by adding a line layer of glue to the first number….
And starting layering your photos on top of the glue. Add another layer of glue over the top to seal.
When the front side is drying, start working on the next number.
And when the second number is drying, start adding photos to the backside of the dry number.
Be sure to cover all the open spaces with photos. You can cut them to fit which gives the design some personality.
Finish all the numbers and let them dry overnight. Spray them with a glossy acrylic sealer to add shine. TOP TIP: leave an open area on the bottom of one of the numbers so you can sign it and write a note!
These graduation year table toppers are perfect for a buffet table, mantel or even an entryway! Let the photos tell the story of the four years gone by….and they will be Forever Young!
