Flower wire 18 – 20 gauge
Floral tape
Wire cutters

Make it:
Wrap the thin wire around your head to get the size so it fits comfortably; remember you will be adding flowers to it so don’t make it too tight to start. If you have a measuring tape, you can simply measure your head and leave a little for overlapping the wire.
Once you know the length typically 18-22 inches, wrap the wire several times around so you have 5 or more layers of wire; this makes the crown sturdier when you are adding the flowers. Or start by using a heavier gauge wire for the base.
Secure the wires by wrapping another piece of wire all the way around the hoop and then secure the ends by twisting them together.
Be sure to wrap the ends by covering them with floral tape so the wire doesn’t poke your head. You can also wrap the entire hoop with floral tape to create a smooth base.
Decide on the color flowers and theme you want. You can use real flowers, but you will have to store the wreath in the refrigerator with water-soaked paper towels after you are finished. This demo features faux flowers so you can save your floral crown and wear it any time you want.
Using your wire cutters, cut each flower leaving about a 2-inch stem.
Lay the flower stem on the wire hoop and wrap the stem to the wire using your floral tape. Wrap it securing around the stem several times.
