SUPPLIES:
- A white canvas board
- Paint & Paint brush
- Fabric scraps
- Paper or fun felt
- Pom poms
- Burlap ribbon
- Spray Starch
- Hot glue
First, paint the canvas any color you want. Stick with spring theme colors like yellow, pink, light green or baby blue.
While the canvas is drying cut your burlap ribbon so the raw edges are exposed and pull some of the fibers out so it frays. Now, spray the piece of burlap fabric with spray starch and let it dry till it’s hardened. You can use a low heat iron to flatten it out. This is also a great time to paint the burlap if you want it different than it’s natural color.
Now, cut out the card stock in the shape of a bunny. I used my Brother ScanNCut 230DX. First I scanned in the outline of the bunny shape I wanted and then my SNC did the rest. I even made extra cut out bunnies to make this kid friendly “Bunny Garland” craft.
Using the fabric scraps, cut out small pieces for the ears.
Glue the ears and pom pom cotton tail on the bunny cut-out.
With the canvas and burlap dry, glue the burlap to the canvas and then glue the assembled bunny embellishment on the canvas. You’re almost done!
Finally, add a custom greeting using scrabble letters or any lettering cut-outs you have!
And there you have it, a HOPPY ending to this spring theme canvas art… It also makes a great gift to let “Some-bunny” know you’re thinking of them!
It’s time to live better creatively today! Hoppy Crafting! ???
