Valentine’s Day is here so set the tone with this easy, DIY, floral centerpiece. The best part, these flowers will last a lifetime just like your love for each other!
What do you need? A mason jar for your centerpiece, acrylic paint, Beacon’s 3 in 1 adhesive, a round Styrofoam ball, wire cutters and 5 bunches of faux flowers – I used red roses and rose buds.

How do you DIY it? First paint the mason jar whatever color you like. I chose white to go along with my red and white tablescape theme.
Next, glue the Styrofoam ball to the top of the mason jar. I used a dull pencil to draw around the top of the jar and make a grove in the foam where the jar will sit. Attach it with glue.
Using wire cutters, cut the stems about an inch down from the flowers.
Insert each stem into the ball; you can secure them with glue but it’s not necessary if you’ve left a long enough stem to stick in; about 1″ is good. Create a tight cluster of roses all over the Styrofoam ball so you can’t see any green.
If you run out of roses you can always use the leaves from the bunches to add to the bottom as flourish.
But if you have enough roses to cover the entire ball that is a very sophisticated look too!
And there you have it, a centerpiece for your Happy Hearts Table for Two!
