Buttons

Hot glue

Start by folding the book pages

Take the top right corner and fold it into the crease of the book. Then take the folded angled edge and fold it a second time into the crease of the book. After that, fold the bottom of the page up. Continue this process until the entire book is folded. Once it’s done, the pages will fan out and make the shape of a beautiful Christmas tree.

Glue the candlestick

Next, glue the base of the book onto an old candle stick. You can use brass, silver, glass, or any sized candlestick you can find. This is a great way to give a candlestick a new life.

Glue the embellishments

Next glue the cabinet knob onto the top of the book tree to serve as the star. The possibilities are endless! Use different sizes and colored buttons as the ornaments to make each tree unique and creative. You can even add a string of beads or ribbon as garland.

These folded book Christmas trees are perfect to elevate your Christmas decorations this year. Pick a friend’s favorite book to repurpose into book folded trees and give it to them as a unique, personal gift. This is a great way to give your old books a new life.
