Jane show’s FOX News Chicago viewers just how easy it is to make last year’s drab this year’s fab with ideas from wine glasses to shoes and notebooks to jeans! Happy 2015!
How many notebooks and journals do you have laying around?? Yep, I thought so…me too! I wondered how I can get inspired to use them at work, keep writing and make them new again? Easy, add a new cover and make them better than ever!
What do you need? An old notebook or hard cover journal, scrap booking paper, tacky spray glue, a marker or pencil and scissors. Nowadays you can find scrap booking paper at any craft store and it’s really cheap plus you can find a ton of colors, textures and designs that fit your style.
Trace the cover of the notebook on the back of your cover paper to make sure it fits.
Cut it out and spray with tacky spray. I find it best to spray the glue on the paper outside, on protective craft paper or even in a large garbage can only because it’s really sticky and can get every where!
Once you spray the glue on the back side of the fancy paper, line it up notebook cover and stick it on! Press firmly, trim the edges and you’re done!
Look at that, you’ve got a new notebooks with your old notes in it! Good job! It’s so easy to do you can change the cover every month… unless you run out of paper! Then you start over with the rest of the notebooks you have laying around!
