No need to toss out that red hot little number you wore last year! Spice it up and up-cycle the nighty into this year’s table decor. Just a few easy steps and a whole lotta love!
What do you need? Said lingerie from last year or maybe one from the relationship that didn’t work out. (I mean you wouldn’t dare wear it with this guy but it’s still sexy!) What else do you need? liquid stitch or a sewing machine, a great photo of the happy couple, and iron-on transfer paper.
Cut away any lace from the lingerie. Measure a placemat you have in the kitchen and cut out the same size from the remaining material in the nighty.
Sew or glue three sides of the material inside out and so the edges don’t fray. Layer the lace panels in now as you are sewing or gluing to create a border effect. You can also save the lacey bits to add to the placemats as embellishments.
Print out a lovely photo of you and your Valentine; I edited mine on a photo app to create the heart shape and emailed it to myself for printing. Just follow the directions on the transfer sheets to iron-on to the material.
Peel away the backing to adhere with an iron and once it set rediscover the love!
Finally, wait for it all to cool down so you can get ready to heat it up during your romantic dinner for two!
Happy Valentine’s Day!
